Luxury Collaboration

Breitling

Breitling launches Premier Norton Edition, a powerful piece that represents the collaboration between two iconic brands. The watch fuses two similar worlds, that of Swiss watchmaking with that of British motorcycles. Breitling Premier B01 Chronograph 42 Norton Edition is the piece that celebrates the partnership between Breitling and Norton. In the words of George Kern, CEO of Breitling “Norton and Breitling share an innovative, entrepreneurial character and are brands built on powerful legacies. This new watch pays tribute to the great partnership between brands with ambitions”. The opinion of Stuart Garner, CEO of Norton is similar, “The new Breitling Premier Norton Edition incorporates elements of the DNA of both brands, offering fans of wristwatches and motorcycles the possibility to express their personality.” Both firms have a similar past as both were founded during the 19th century by visionaries who gave them their names and who defined their respective sectors. James Lansdowne Norton started his business in 1800 and manufactured his first motorcycles in 1990. By then Léon Breitling had been building watches in the Swiss Jura mountains for more than a decade.

Another nice coincidence is that both brands were present in James Bond movies. Breitling Premier B01 Chronograph 42 Norton Edition joins Breitling’s Premier collection. Elegant and contemporary, the new edition with a 42 mm stainless steel case adds an urban and modern character to the piece. It is water resistant to pressures of 100 meters and has a plaque on the left side with the Norton logo engraved on it. The back is transparent and is printed with a motorcycle and the logo. The black dial is supremely elegant and blends seamlessly with the golden hour, minute and digit hands. Inside it are the silver internal dials – chronograph minute counter at 3 o’clock, small second at 9 o’clock – which indicates that the watch has inside a Breitling manufacture Caliber 01 that grants a reserve of march close to 70 hours. The flywheel frequency is 28,000 semi-oscillations / hour, that is, 4 Hertz. The chronometer is COSC certified and has a black tachymeter scale on the white inner bezel that surrounds the dial, where it can be read in red Tachymeter.

For perfect visibility when traveling on the motorcycle, the hour and minute hands are coated with Super LumiNova. The retro style strap made of raw brown leather is ideal for motorcycle enthusiasts, however it is also available with an elegant stainless steel bracelet. The edition is 346 watches. To accompany the piece, Norton developed the Norton Commando 961 Café Racer MKII Breitling Limited Edition motorcycle. With a powerful 961 cc engine, this beauty is limited to a series of 77. The Breitling “B” is etched into the clutch housing, while the speedometer and tachometer dials are designed by Breitling. The black retro saddle also features the black stitched “B”.
