Dynamic and Refined

For this year, the traditional watchmaking house Longines presents a new variant of the HydroConquest collection: It is a fine timepiece made entirely of black ceramic developed and designed for lovers of diving. With designs inspired by the magical universe of water sports, the HydroConquest collection has a dynamic profile that is manifested in the different finishes that its components present. Thus, the bright white of the hands and indexes that are coated in Super LumiNova, contrasts with the elegant black of its dial. Sporty in line, the accompanying strap is made of black rubber and offers a precise fit that makes it extremely comfortable. This new model complements a recently expanded line with pieces that feature a bezel enhanced by colored ceramic inserts.

Today, Longines advances in the use of this exclusive material and dares to manufacture a model completely made of black ceramic, whose composition is displayed on the dial: ZrO2. The strength of this high-tech material makes it resistant to scratches, a perfect quality for the sporty spirit of the new piece. Its sober style is present in each component: the matt dial; polished case; the circular satin finished bezel; and the background combined with a circular and matt satin finish. Longines HydroConquest is designed to meet the expectations of those who love the open sea. Taking as a reference the entertaining practice of diving, the piece has a water resistance of up to 30 bar equivalent to 300 meters, a unidirectional rotating bezel, a screw-down crown and a folding clasp with a double safety clasp. For its qualities of excellence, those who dive into the deep sea will find the most reliable companion in HydroConquest. With three hands and a date, the watch has a 43 mm diameter case and an automatic mechanical movement (L888.3). Exclusively developed for Longines, the movement oscillates at a frequency of 25,200 vibrations per hour, giving it a 64-hour power reserve. The hands and indexes are in bright white tonality and are coated with Super LumiNova, which provides a perfect contrast to the black of the dial and allows legibility on the seabed. Dark like diving suits, but bright enough to be read in the depths, this watch strikes the right balance between charm and practicality. Its functions are as simple as necessary: the piece indicates the hours, minutes, seconds and date. With a strong identity and elegance, this Longines piece exhibits the savoir faire of the artisans of the winged hourglass brand. His expertise, dating back to 1832, is evident in each of his creations. Due to its precision, Longines is heir to a long tradition as a timekeeper for world championships, as well as a partner of sports federations. Today, Longines is established in more than 150 countries and is part of the prestigious watch firm Swatch Group S.A.
